Like its cousin Sapphire Indian tarantulas (Poecilotheria metallica ), the Mexican tarantula (Brachypelma smithi ) an endangered species.
In the 1980s, catches were so important to make a pet that has disappeared from many regions of Mexico. Many died in the mishap, but the breeding of this species has developed and catches are now no longer required. The Mexican tarantulas
remains classified as endangered due to destruction continued habitat.
I made this tarantula in print, on the same model as the tarantula sapphire.
